In the Canias-ERP Standard Cost Management – Standard Cost Management (CAL) module, the planned production cost of a certain product or semi-finished product can be calculated based on the basic information obtained from the bill of materials and routes.

Cost Management Module (CAL) with Canias-ERP – In addition to the calculation of a specific product, bulk calculation studies covering multiple materials can also be carried out. In addition, the calculation can be started from other modules; For example, when creating a proposal in the Sales Management module, the proposal cost calculation can be made, as well as the project costs can be calculated in the Project Management module. In the Standard Cost Management module, it is possible to use various parameters such as cost chart or validity date information, price information, activity information, bills of materials and routes to make calculations. The module, which offers comprehensive evaluation and analysis to the user, also allows possible errors to be seen, analyzed and listed in batch calculation. In addition, the results of different calculations, can be compared with each other by cross checking on the module. The successful integration of the module with all modules in the system guarantees the use of centrally managed up-to-date data in every calculation.

The graph shows the interaction of the module with other modules in the system.

STANDARD COST PARAMETERS

The master data required for calculation comes from modules for managing BOMs and routes. Required components and quantities are taken from the Bill of Materials Management module. Operation details such as the time spent for production are retrieved from the Route Management module. It can also be determined at what prices various types of components and semi-finished products will be included in the calculation. While the moving average price or the final purchase price can be used for purchased raw materials, the production costs found during cost calculation for internally produced semi-finished products can be taken into account.

An activity unit cost record for the relevant cost center can be defined for the activities entered in the Route Management module, such as machine, labor or preparation time. This definition can also be transferred from the actual cost distribution results of the previous months, thanks to the integration provided with the Cost Centers Accounting module. Fixed and variable rates in activity unit cost records allow flexible pricing. Any number of calculation schemes can be created in the module. In each chart, which activity records and which prices for the components will be taken as a basis for calculation can be determined separately. In addition, it can be defined whether additional cost records such as general production expenses will be taken into account, and if so, which amount will be taken into account. By using ‘Schema Variables’ connected to these defined schemas,

In addition, taking the multi-level bill of materials breakdown and writing the calculation result to the material master data as a new standard price can also be set parametrically on the module.

STANDARD COST CALCULATION METHODS

In the Standard Cost Management module, in addition to the calculation of a specific product, bulk calculation studies covering multiple materials can be carried out. In the bulk calculation, materials selected according to certain parameters in the preconditions are taken into account. The calculation can also be started from other modules. For example, while creating a proposal in the Sales Management module, the cost of the proposal can be calculated, as well as the project costs in the Project Management module. Similarly, standard cost calculations can be made collectively for the materials included in the budget in the Budget Management module.

EVALUATIONS AND ANALYSIS

The Standard Cost Management module provides the user with comprehensive evaluation and analysis. Thus, lists can be created where possible errors can be seen and analyzed in a batch calculation. In addition, the results of different calculations can be compared with each other by cross-checking. Calculation views can also be defined on the module to highlight specific topics within the calculation scope.

INTEGRATION

The successful integration of the Standard Cost Management module with all modules in the system guarantees the use of centrally managed up-to-date data in every calculation. The module works in integration with modules such as Basic Data Management, Bill of Materials Management, Route Management, Sales Management, Project Management, Production Management, Budget Management and Cost Centers Accounting.
